What can be better after a long walk in the sunshine than stopping off at a quaint and quirky Tea Room… Frithy’s 🙂
Frithy’s is set in the beautiful village of Far Sawrey, just down the road from Hill Top House (Beatrix Potter’s home), in the South Lakes. This lovely place has brought to life the building that once used to be the village shop. It’s so great to have a place to come and relax and have a spot of tea and cake – or have a delicious lunch (more energy food for your tums so you can carry on your merry way!)
It was great to meet Debbie and her partner Ali after chatting with them on their facebook page. Mr.B, Jassy and me spent the week before Christmas in a little cottage down the road from Frithy’s.
We enjoyed a much needed cold drink and tasty locally sourced chocolate ice cream 🙂 Jassy was catered for with water and gravy bones – what more could a woofy want? 😀
Sweets, jams and biscuits were for sale, how lovely to take away as gift for your family (or a treat for yourself :D) You can buy provisions to take to your holiday cottage if you’re staying in the area…
We sat for ages, taking in the calm and quiet of the village, basking in the sunshine. I spotted a basket of hand warmers and hot water bottles… what a fab idea for the colder days 🙂
It’s a place that we would defiantly recommend you visit when you’re next in the Lakes, just follow the ‘sheep in shades’ signs 😀 With a warm friendly welcome and great food & drink, what more could you ask for. We can’t wait to visit again for our wedding anniversary dinner in September, but something tells me we’ll be back before then… 🙂
